Looks like she’s here to stay.

I know you’ve been replaying that conversation over and over again in your head.
I know you think you could have done things different.
You could have not answered.  At all. 
You could have ignored them.

But babe, you didn’t.

What you did was set your boundary and stuck to it.  Multiple times.
You explained yourself, even though you didn’t need to, from a place of love, compassion and respect.
You kindly asked someone to leave by setting a really fucking firm boundary.

So yeah, you know what?  You could have said the other 100 things playing through your mind right now.
But this?  This was better.

Because now you know.
Even when you were angry, you still acted from heart.
Even when you could not begin to understand why someone would be asking you this, you still acted from heart.
Even when you owed someone nothing - no explanation, no time, no energy, you still acted from heart.
You treated them as you would any other human being.  With kindness first.

Does that sound like anything you’ve been telling yourself?
Try again.

Because you’ve learned to lead from heart, some people won’t understand. It actually makes them angrier.
And that?  That tells you you’re living exactly as you’re meant to be.
Because you’re not stooping to their level.
You’re not dimming.
You’re not changing who you are to please someone else.

But you’re also not running.
You’re standing; feet firmly planted in your truth.
And you’re staying exactly where you are - as you.
In your fierce, fucking power that no one can take from you.

That conversation?
That absolutely fucking stupid conversation that’s made you so angry the last couple of days?
Guess what?
You stayed right in your power babe.
Look at you.

Do you see it now?  
You’ve changed.
This is proof of what you’ve created.
And the good news is,
it looks like she’s here to stay.
